On the left thyroid cartilage, high attenuation (Red arrows)suggesting hematoma was noted. A small low attenuating lesion (yellow arrow) within the hematoma would be focal fracture of the cartilage. It is more perceptible in the narrow window setting (Left) than in the standard soft tissue window setting (Right).
