An outpouching air-fluid containing structure (asterisk) was noted in the left abdomen, abutting on the edematous jejunum. Adjacent mesentery (yellow arrows) showed increased attenuation and there were several small extraluminal air bubbles. This was a case of acute jejunal diverticulitis with contained perforation.
On CT taken after 2 weeks, mesenteric inflammation (green arrows) decreased in extent and extraluminal air bubbles disappeared. slot88
